This time it’s no lie, the Turd Ferguson House is done. It was a shame that its last show couldn’t have boasted a better lineup, but what’re you going to do? I would do something special for this occasion, but I can’t think of anything, so I’ll probably just ramble on a bit at the end of this review.

The standard late start that Turd Ferguson has had attached to its name applied nearly doubly so at the first, and last, folk show at the Abbotsford punk house. I missed a lot of this show, so I’ll piece it together as best I can. It doesn’t help that that night I was sleep deprived, and that it has been a week since the show actually happened. I’ll try my best.

This show hit some snags. Originally cast as Progressive Thinker, First Reign, and Pterrordactyl, the roster had to be cut down to just the headliner. Where better to have the reunion of the Burlesque House house band than the current equivalent, Turd Ferguson? I have to say, at the beginning of the night, I had fairly low expectations for this show, but I was surprised.

I was given misinformation about this show. I heard it started at 7. I got to the show at 8, and only a handful of people were there. The show started a bit later with Limosis. They played loud and heavy nu metal. They weren’t very good, but that might just be a matter of taste. I didn’t watch much of the their set, but I could hear it from outside and it was pretty gross. It would have been tolerable, but they played for a very long time. Someone said it was and hour and forty-five minutes. I think it was closer to and hour and fifteen minutes, but I didn’t have a watch. After that horrible experience was Varge, which Sean of the Doers assured me was great.
