Fun 100 releases their first full length album a couple years too late! Well, no actually. They haven’t even released it yet. It was available for one night only on September 9th. It’s not really out until the end of October. Of course, it was possible to get it long ago. I’ve had the entire album since it was recorded, which is around two years ago for at least one track. The album includes songs that the band has become embarrassed of playing. If that meant we got to hear Internet Girlfriend again that would be a good thing, but there’s only so many times you can hear Computer.
Despite my complaints, the album is pretty good, if a little outdated. The band has certainly come a long way since there extremely limited “release” of Audio/Demo. Every song is catchy and fun, and there’s a piece of marshmallowy goodness in every bite.
After rereading this review, I find it way too harsh. I do really like this entire album and the songs are springs of creative genius. Fun 100 is fast, Fun 100 is entertaining, Fun 100 is available in 72 flavours!
